Photographing dark rooms can sometimes be a challenge. The goal for these kinds of spaces is to ensure color accuracy while preserving the mood and ambiance. This office space of a South Dallas new build was no exception. Balancing the bright, natural light of the windows with the darkness of the space was a challenge, but made for some gorgeous images.
I wanted the final photos to representative of what I was seeing in real life. I loved the way the light from the window was falling across the desk and the painting and creating these soft but deep shadows on the far side of the room. I also loved how the black of the walls contrasted so well with the light tones in the wood of the desk and the painting.
